I am a journalist, broadcaster and entrepreneur based in Geneva /// I am the Director of World Radio Switzerland, the English-speaking public service radio of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation /// I also am the Director of Anyscreen, a consulting and multimedia production company /// I have done a few things that have been written about /// I am straddling the world of historical and social media and observing their difficult, often tense, interaction /// I firmly believe that technology helps us create more compelling content /// Having been in the press and media business for about 30 years, I have done many things before that /// I am a former Director of New Media at Swiss Television in Geneva /// Before that I was Head of News and Current Affairs /// From 1979 to 1994 I spent 15 years in the US, first as a freelancer in NYC and then as Washington Correspondent and Bureau Chief /// A lot has changed since…Before that…///
I can be contacted through a number of means listed here.
When speaking about traditional media, I do not believe in the “death” of print, or radio, or tv /// I prefer to talk about the “death of death” /// I do believe , however , that the media of reference today is the net /// Period /// I am convinced that media matters less than our media experience /// And I am also of the opinion that technology changes society, not content. Sometimes, that conviction does not go down too well with my colleagues. Until I take time to explain it.
